Valenciano pumpkin
This pumpkin is from Stehly Organics, who comes to the Torrance Farmer's market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. David Schaner (yes the brother of Peter who's definitely more famous among the LA chefs) suggested this pumpkin and it was exquisite. The flesh was sweet and not to stringy and not at all dense. For your information, the variety is 'Valenciano', in case you were wondering.
