Apparently people have been selling avocado toast for 6 dollars plus in restaurants lately. I haven't tried any of these, but this dish (if you can call it that) is a great go-to for a late night (or any other time). If you have perfectly ripe avocados and some decent bread, then you're good to go!
I've one-upped this for an appetizer for a tasting menu that I recently cheffed.. This is avocado on my own brown bread, with sea urchin aioli, sesame seeds and thinly sliced nori. Delicious and beautiful.
